Sisterhood

Sisterhood is composed of women who come together to offer volunteer services to our Temple and community. Their activities benefit Temple Isaiah’s Renewal Fund and our Temple youth. The Judaica Gift Shop offers a selection of traditional and ritual items such as menorahs, mezuzahs, Seder plates, jewelry, and gifts for all occasions. A Message from our Sisterhood President

As I’ve always said about traveling, it’s great to go, but it’s even better to come home! The U.S., with all it’s flaws, is the best country in the world. Just as Palm Springs, heat and all, is the best place in the world
live!

The new 2008-09 season is upon us. Our executive board has been working hard to bring a new and exciting year to you. Luscious luncheons by Carlos Johnson from our excellent, hard working in-house  chef, and terrific programs, including great entertainers, interesting, pertinent speakers, book reviews and perhaps a trip to L.A.’s famous Farmer’s Market are all on our drawing board. Stay tuned…

With our regular meeting date in October falling on Shermini Atzeret/Yizkor, we are most probably going to have to wait until November for our opening meeting. We’re still exploring the option of going a week later in October. Check the October Chai Lights for all the details.

I hope you have all sent in your completed forms for Ralph’s Market. Remember: Sisterhood is the recipient of 4% of all the purchases you make at Ralph’s Market. Since we all have to eat, this is a really painless way to make a donation to our Temple!
