Palm Springs, CA – May 23, 2007: As the summer begins to wane and parents start to think about their children’s religious school, the Rabbi and exceptional teachers at Temple Isaiah are preparing for the new school year as well. Temple Isaiah will once again offer a Religious School with a unique format. Condensed into only one day a week, this plan is the answer for many busy families who are already ‘over programmed’ during the week, and want to simplify their schedule while still providing the religious education their children need. Rabbi Sally states, “To prepare our youngsters for bar/bat mitzvah, students will learn Hebrew language, holiday traditions, and study the Talmud and the Torah. Understanding our traditions as Jewish people is essential for the younger generation as they prepare to take their place in the community as Jewish adults.”
There are classes offered every Sunday: For students in grades K through 2, these classes are from 10:00 a.m. to noon, and for students in grades 3 through 6, classes are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
In addition to the One Day Religious School, Temple Isaiah also offers an optional enrichment program, which takes place on Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All classes are conducted at Temple Isaiah in downtown Palm Springs.
